As one of the editors of the book, I am delighted to announce that the study volume “Sustainable and Regenerative Approaches in Active and Ecotourism” will soon be available. The volume will be presented at an event to be held on February 27 at the Corvinus University of Budapest, in the form of lectures and moderated professional dialogue.

The volume examines active, eco- and regenerative tourism not only as a product category, but also as a possible direction for the systemic renewal of tourism. It aims to formulate complex, integrated responses to the current social, environmental and economic challenges of tourism. The studies analyze the transformation of the sector in a multidisciplinary approach, connecting theoretical frameworks with domestic and international good practices. Special emphasis is placed on sustainability, resilience and the practical applicability of the regenerative approach.
While editing the chapters, it was a pleasure to read that the authors strived to combine scientific rigor with policy and market relevance, so that the volume addresses both an academic and a practical audience. The book contributes to the domestic professional discourse on the future of tourism and also aims to provide guidance for strategic thinking. Our editorial intention was to interpret the issue of sustainability not as a normative expectation, but as a workable, measurable and adaptable framework. We are convinced that active and regenerative tourism is not just a niche area, but can be a key element of tourism’s competitiveness and social legitimacy in the next decade.
